The first sig...hm, to me, it looks like it's...not together, so to speak. The lines are bright, and keeps me from really seeing the background. Awesome render, though, and good position. Looks alright with no text, too.

Looks freakin' fluffy. Seriously, I want to reach out and touch it. XD The ripple effect in the top right corner looks a bit out of place, but overall, it's one of my favourite sigs from you. :3

The sonic one is kinda.... bleh. It's all messy with lines going all over the place and yeah.... idk what else to say.



The second one is actually pretty good. You got that angel-looking character flying among the clouds, so it's all fitting. I'd say it definitely needs some contrast, first of all. The clouds look pretty flat.

Also, maybe add some gradient maps.

Aaand idk if this would look good, but you could take a space stock and put it on either lighten or soft light, then erase over her face nd stuff. It would make it look all sparkly if you do it right.

9 gradient maps? That's going overboard o_O

I think you're mistaking something.... it wouldn't look like this if you had 9 gradient maps @_@


You don't need a lot of them, you need to know how to use them.

Well, I set the opacity of whatever layers had gradient maps kinda low... I didn't want to overpower it. XD

I think the Sonic one looks good. Not much going on, could add something more other than the lines overpowering everything, but I still think it looks good.

I think this is my best siggeh yet, especially when compared to my first Sonic siggy. I love the render, although it was kinda gritty/pixely around the edges so I had to use some sort of effect or something (I forget what) to smooth it out. Bleh. ;_;

It's cool and all...

But...it's...all black. I know there's stuff in there, but at first it was hard to see so it looked like you took a rectangle, put sonic in it, put in some fancy lines then used the paint bucket on the background with a good ol' "Fuck it."

Try making those shiny thingies brighter, and...well, perhaps more of them? The empty space in that sig really bothers me.

Well, what you could to is take the pen tool and use the text as a guide, then use the simulate pressure option.


And honestly, although this isn't the most amazing sig, I like how it is now. Maybe smudge or soft erase the parts of the render on the edge of the sig, but that might make it look worse.

I'd say (aside from the text) keep it as it is now. You're improving, and soon enough you'll develop your own style and join the elite. Then you can look back to this day and be like "Wow, I've come far."

You've been in sig making a shorter time than me and you're way better than me. I'm quite impressed and agree with Kiga :3
